Houston area professional-level singers (all voice types) and comedic actors. No age limit. Artists from outside the Houston area are welcome to audition, but should be aware that Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival cannot provide housing or transportation. Audition requirements... Singers - Bring two contrasting songs or arias: your best piece (any language), and a piece in English. We are especially interested in music from 1935-1945. An accompanist will be provided. Actors - Bring two contrasting monologues, one a comedy. Everyone - Bring your current 8x10 head shot and résumé. To request an audition... Send an e-mail with 'AUDITIONS' in the subject box. Rehearsals take place weekday evenings and weekend daytimes. All performers will be paid a season stipend which constitutes payment for all rehearsals, promotional activities, costume fittings, make-up, the Sneak Preview/fund-raiser concert performance in March and the four Festival performances in June.
