Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival will begin accepting audition requests for next season in January, 2012. Please check this page for updates at that time. Auditions will be held in February, 2012, in Houston, Texas, by appointment only.
We're interested in...
Professional-level singers and, as needed, classically trained pianists and other instrumentalists with theater experience. Performing artists from outside the Houston area are welcome to audition, but should be aware that Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival cannot provide housing or transportation.
Rehearsals & performances...
Our season consists of one or more promotional events in May with one dress rehearsal, and one to two productions presented in a festival format over one or two weekends in late June. For the Festival, an intensive staging rehearsal period of approximately 10 days is followed by two or more performances of each production. Music rehearsals are scheduled on an as-needed basis. All participating artists are paid a season stipend.
