Mission...
Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival is an independent, non-profit opera and lyric theater presenting organization committed to showcasing exciting performers, premiering new chamber works by living composers and exploring the untapped repertory of lyric composers of the past. Since its inception in 2006, LSLTF has carved a distinctive niche in Houston's diverse and rich artistic community, providing an opportunity for the city to expand its cultural landscape. We offer Houston innovative, fully staged high quality productions by incorporating the audience into the shows, and presenting them in non-traditional, intimate venues. At a time of year when most other theater groups are on summer hiatus, LSLTF offers residents and visitors an experience like no other. Future plans include collaborations with several community arts organizations and the realization of a month-long repertory festival. We also plan to develop a touring outreach program to introduce lyric chamber theater to communities across Texas while providing continued exposure and performance opportunities for our roster of artists.
