Doc's Jazz Club Debut!

Lone Star Lyric takes a stroll along America’s Great White Way with ON BROADWAY.  We’re thrilled to appear at Houston's newest listening room Doc's Jazz & Supper Club. 

LSL’s Kelli Estes, Broadway veteran Stephonne Smith and powerhouse quartet Rob Hunt, David Craig, Ernesto Vega and Graeme Francis will delight you with tunes from Broadway’s storied past and present.  Hits from the biggest Broadway musicals including SHOW BOAT, CHICAGO, GUYS AND DOLLS, SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE, CABARET, WICKED, THE LION KING, GYPSY and more!  Sprinkled with a twist of jazz, this up close and personal New York style cabaret will be a night to remember.  

We’re excited to have the multi-talented Rob Hunt leading from the 88’s.  Rob’s played with music legends like Bucky Pizzarelli, John Pizzarelli, Peggy Lee, Willie Nelson, toured with Ray Price and he’s been Lone Star Lyric’s music director for 10 years.  For LSL’s 19th summer event, Rob collaborated with WICKED & Disney composer, Stephen Schwartz on a new arrangement of his only opera, SÉANCE ON A WET AFTERNOON for LSL’s premiere production with the composer in the audience!  We’re also delighted that Doc’s own artistic director and percussionist, Graeme Francis will join us for our Doc’s debut! 

Don’t forget your appetite – the kitchen and bar will be open, serving up chef-crafted dishes and curated cocktails to make your cabaret experience one to remember!
