Lone Star Lyric, Houston’s premiere boutique lyric theater and cabaret company, hits the road for a stroll along America’s Great White Way with BROADWAY LIGHTS.  LSL’s, Kelli Estes and Broadway veteran Stephonne Smith will delight you with show tunes from Broadway’s storied past and present selections from KISS ME KATE, CHICAGO, GUYS AND DOLLS, CABARET, GYPSY and more. Nestled into the up close and personal NY cabaret style and backed by our fantastic jazz trio, this will be a night to remember.

"Witches" is the bawdy, clever, nine-lives spanning musical about two women who happen to be witches, and have been so since the beginning of time. As we take a tour through their lives, we see all the highs and lows that effect the career, family, sex- and love life and of the modern day woman/witch and also how she dealt with all those same persecutions and pleasures in her several past lives as Eve, or Lady Macbeth, or Snow White's Stepqueen...

Follow the yellow brick road on Harold Arlen's journey from Broadway to Hollywood.  His songs defined the music of the 30's-40's and with over 400 songs that found their way into bars, speakeasies, clubs, the Broadway stage and the Hollywood cinema, Arlen's music continues to be a mainstay of American jazz standards today.

Jerome Kern's anthology started as a song-plugger on Tin Pan Alley, then songs in the great Ziegfeld Follies revues to his most famous musical setting of Edna Ferber's novel to music, SHOW BOAT.

"Witches" ("Hexen") has been successfully staged in its original German version in about two dozen productions in theaters all over Germany and Austria, including at least three times in Berlin alone (Deutsche Oper Berlin, CAMA Theater, Intimes Theater) since 1991. The English language adaptation is by the composer, Danny Ashkenasi.
