Lone Star Lyric’s Kelli Estes, Broadway veteran Stephonne Smith, and a powerhouse quartet featuring Rob Hunt, Alan Simmons, Ernesto Vega, and Doc’s own Graeme Francis bring Broadway’s storied past and present to life.
From SHOW BOAT, GUYS AND DOLLS, GYPSY and CABARET to CHICAGO, SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE, WICKED, THE LION KING and more, beloved Broadway favorites get a fresh twist of jazz in this up-close-and-personal, New York-style cabaret.
Leading the evening from the piano is LSL Music Director Rob Hunt, whose extraordinary career includes performances with Bucky Pizzarelli, John Pizzarelli, Peggy Lee, Willie Nelson, and Ray Price. In 2025, Rob collaborated with WICKED and Disney composer Stephen Schwartz on a new arrangement for LSL’s production of Schwartz’s opera Séance on a Wet Afternoon—with the composer himself in the audience.
And LSL knows how to make an evening at Doc’s memorable. Last summer, we celebrated our 20th Anniversary here with a decadent, Ziegfeld-inspired, star-studded production of Stephen Sondheim’s FOLLIES, headlined by Houston’s own Christina Wells before a sold-out house.
Come hungry: Doc’s menu ranges from tavern-style pizza to caviar, paired with curated cocktails and live music.
