This summer, Lone Star Lyric celebrates its 20th Anniversary with an unforgettable evening of music, elegance, and indulgence—featuring VIP seating, fine dining, curated cocktails, and a special concert presentation of Follies by Stephen Sondheim, the legendary composer whose work forever changed American musical theater and continues to resonate with opera and theater audiences around the world.
One night. One stage. A lifetime of memories.
Set in a once-glorious theater, Follies reunites former stars for one final performance, where memories stir and truths emerge. Featuring iconic songs like “Broadway Baby” and “I’m Still Here,” this promises to be an unforgettable evening.
Before we announce this extraordinary event to the public, we are inviting a select circle of loyal patrons to join us as underwriters for a dazzling one-night celebration at the historic Doc’s Jazz Club, featuring Houston luminaries Joseph Evans, Melanie Sonnenberg, Buck Ross, and Houston’s own America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Christina Wells alongside LSL’s veteran artists from Broadway and the international opera stage.
