Stage Director
Kelli Estes
As LSL's Artistic Director and Co-Founder, I am honored and delighted to present the regional premiere of this thrilling work by multi-award winning composer, Stephen Schwartz. In addition to a brand new production, a new chamber orchestration has been arranged by Robert Hunt and Stephen Schwartz. As Mr. Schwartz said, "On Broadway, there's no such thing as one person doing it all...the Musical Director, Robert Hunt has been my absolute hero in this process, aided and abetted of course by Kelli Estes... [Hunt] has done absolutely brilliant work." Séance on a Wet Afternoon will be LSL's 14th new works premiere and marks the 3rd production of this exciting opera since the 2009 Opera Santa Barbara and 2011 New York City Opera 2011 debuts. We are profoundly humbled to collaborate with and welcome the living legend, Stephen Schwartz to Houston for our opening night!
